"Weep" doesn't begin to describe the suffering, the physical and spiritual annihilation of the world's most vulnerable people, due to the grotesque whims of the world's richest teenager, and his co-conspirator in the White House. The Germans come close with "seelenmord", which describes the perpetuation of brutal acts against children. But this is beyond that as there's an indifference, an utter obliviousness  to the horrors unleashed by the dismantling of USAID, PEPFAR, and other life-saving medical programs. Live Aid's 40 anniversary is getting so much self-satisfying attention while the number of lives that it saved will surely be overwhelmed by the current body count and the multitudes to come. Ponder the "scoreboard" of horror below. How is this not the most pressing story in the world now, and for months or years to come?
