For all your Pierre Bensusan "needs":

Guitar players...all of Pierre's songs are transcribed, and painstakingly by Pierre. See the site. Even with the transcriptions (includes tab), most take a long time to really get up to speed. It is highly recommended to buy "Livre du Guitare" first (the Guitar Book) by Pierre, which also contains transcriptions of tunes on the first few CDs. He has exercises for the fingers, tips on hand and nail care, even great recipes and anecdotes. Enjoy. I am not anal enough to work through the tunes, even though I love most of them. I only know 2 by heart...the ones with the easiest fingerings. He critiqued my playing once...it was mildly painful, but encouraging also (he has a way of doing this...so even if you suck, it doesn't feel so bad). He gives classes often when he tours, and also there is a masterclass which he offers as an "in residence" course at his farmhouse in France. If you are serious about this style of play, then check it out. You must shed BEFORE attending the courses, and come prepared to play several of the tunes in front of Pierre and the other course attendees.
