I recall how I stopped watching House of Cards in 2017 after Trump was inaugurated. Nothing the show offered came close to what the actual president was doing at the time. It's only gotten more unscripted. What a country! 

(Switching gears just a little) Tammy and I attended the No Kings protest rally in Northfield, MN, last Saturday. The gathering was somewhat subdued due to the early morning murders of our Minority Leader and her husband, and the attempted political murder of two others. But still, people turned out in large numbers. There was a funny moment that gave us all a good laugh. Two trucks adorned in Trump swag kept circling the protest and revving their engines. Tammy got the clever idea to write on the back of her sign, "Rev your engine if with us." One of the trucks came around the corner, revving its engine, then suddenly idled. He read Tammy's sign, and thought (I'm guessing), 'Fuck! We can't rev our engine or they'll think we support them!" It was the funniest thing. We all laughed when we realized it had worked.

Moral of the story: Always carry a Sharpie with you to a protest!
