Agree with most of your post, but the string of political losses Elon has funded - particularly the Wisconsin supreme court election - has put a dent in that narrative. He can severely damage Republicans, but his reach to the wider electorate has been shown up. I'm not concerned with what he has on the R's as much as I worry about what DOGE's data mining has on everyone else in the country (SS admin) - that can do major damage in the wrong hands. We are dealing with two petulant narcissists who can each do major damage to wide swaths of the country with the next hissy fit or K-hole outburst. I'll be avoiding fans for the foreseeable future.
Meanwhile, Stephen Miller has declared war on Minneapolis and L.A. - There are rumblings of logistics activity at my local ICE headquarters as well.
