OK, not that I want to be the guy that keeps posting doom and gloom but in just 100 days Trump and Musk managed to devastate so many things that kept Americans and the world safe it is well...shocking. We are now wide open to so many different attacks on our country from foreign enemies and also just from a lack of staffing and preparedness. The Trump plan is to have no more federal aid in national emergencies, in fact, they don't consider anything a "national" emergency. Everything is to be placed on the states. Trump even wants to sell off our National Parks, first offering them to the states, who mostly will not be able to purchase them and take them over, and then offering them to any business that wants to rape them. No more "public lands" and no more preserving the natural beauty of our country.
You see there is no way to cut a trillion dollars from the federal budget. You can't squeeze blood from a stone, you can decimate our government, have it cease doing anything for the people and the world, but in doing so, all you have done is destroy the country and most people. There will be nobody there to help, nobody to take your call, the government is being shifted from serving the people to just transferring funds to the wealthiest individuals. This is being done right out in the open, no hiding it, it is there, plain for all to see. It will lead to many deaths due to multiple causes. A big cause being, well, there just is nobody working on that anymore. Nobody researching cures for diseases, nobody looking for vaccines for pandemics, nobody cooperating with countries around the world to solve problems before they happen.
The plan is now, let the disaster happen and those that die, die. Those that suffer, suffer until they die. No help is on the way, nobody is going to do anything. This is the plan. When people are killed, lose their homes, get a disease, get hit by a hurricane, the federal response will be "So what! That's not our job, go die or deal with it yourselves. We are only here for the wealthiest Americans, and wealthy people around the world."
We were once a first world country, a country prepared to deal with anything. Now, we are the least prepared nation among first world nations and we no longer intend to help with anything...not even our own citizens. I find this stunning, mainly for the speed they achieved it, but as we enter hurricane season, this will be one like no other.
Where once we were ready, had a plan, had government agencies ready to go, now we have nothing. Trump himself may not even comment when these things happen because...well...helping Americans is not his job. Not what he believes he was elected to do and won't lift a finger. At the same time he has done this, he has devastated supply chains, which has not become evident yet to much of the public, and so any kind of recovery, even if it is people that are trying to recover on their own, will become more and more difficult. He's fucked everybody.
