Well - As They are danish I know of them - Its kinda of a "happy go lucky" rock/pop/dance act from a danish indy label, that has build a rep and slowly gotten exposure. As much so that they are know getting around the world ;-) . They have a nack for catchy tunes but its not real deep, so not really what I would call intellectually challeging, like most mentioned here are ;-)
Quote from label site:"If you took The B-52s, Beck Hansen, Run DMC, The Cramps, Michael Jackson, DJ Shadow and Rolling Stones and cramped them into two human beings - one big one and one small - you would probably end up with the dynamic duo: Junior Senior –the active word being 'dynamic'. Junior Senior aren't exactly characterized by being a homogenous mass. It is the very interaction between Junior and Senior which is the dynamo (seems we’re wearing this metaphor thin) in the band. Junior is a little whipper-snapper. Senior is a colossus of a man. Junior is straight. Senior is gay. Junior and Senior are very different, but together they are Junior Senior - a team through thick and thin."
Site:http://www.juniorsenior.com/Same indylabel has also gotten quite a rep for launching other acts worth checking out:
Mew
The RaveonettesOther danish acts not on that label that is possible to find outside Denmark:
D.A.D. - (aka Disneyland after Dark, but had to change after Disney sued...) - A "cow-punk" softmetal band.
Kashmir (Rock/pop
Outlandish (Pop/Rap with immigrant roots
Savage Rose (Currently residing in LA)
Saybia (Coldplay-clone)
Safri Duo (classically educated Danceact)
Swan Lee (Kate Bush'ish inspired)
Funkstar Deluxe (world famous Remixer of classic hits)Personally I find it nice that we got some dansih bands out that isnt eurodance acts - The swedes have gotten way to popular :-)
