I'm really conflicted at this point. What they are doing will absolutely cause widespread suffering and death, but I'm kind of OK with the Democrats stepping back and letting it happen. No, I'm not OK with suffering and death. But they NEED the lesson. They need to SEE that their vote caused this. I will try to shield myself and those I care about, but those who wished on the monkey's paw, not so much.
