If you check out the poll stats in HCTNFU, you will undoubtedly notice that far and away, the "other" stores sold more than the chains listed. It would have helped to have that category broken down a little bit.
I bought my copy today at Border's (in sunny Hagerstown, MD), which is a fairly big chain nationwide, yet it is not listed in the preset list on the survey.
The disc at Border's anyways is filed under "B" for Baerwald not "N" for NFU, and was actually piled 3 copies deep, at an upscale price, but that's Border$ for you..In their store the discs have the following sticker on the shrinkwrap (probably the same everywhere, but I was just curious),thus,
"Baerwald's intelligent lyrics and music fall somewhere between beautifully poetic and darkly twisted. First solo album in 8 years by the founder of the Tuesday Night Music Club and David and David."
LOVE the sound, and the sequence of play of the various tracks. To my ears, packs a bigger sonic "wallop" than the similar renditions on AFM, though on AFM, I thought there were more "subtleties" at times. Fabulous recording, and it should do very well on the charts and with airplay, to my way of thinking, at least I hope so.
Hope you're having a fun summer. I'm up to the great Northland of Ontario, for a "China Lake" experience-plus!
