i got a decent tape of the Slim's show with my little stereo cassette thingie, but i had it onstage away from the main PA but not far enough in front of the monitors, so it kinda came out sounding like a garage practice tape. and it cut off before Come What May and Heroes - simply unacceptable.
also, as the band kept touring, i imagine they got better, so a more recent recording would be more likely to show the band closer to the height of their considerable powers. so, yeah, bring that sucker on, but not before i mention how very farking cool it is of DB to allow us to do this. makes me wanna go out and buy the new one again and again and again...which i'm going to do anyway because i'll be giving them to some people that need to hear it. i burned a copy for someone but figure if i buy it from the store it'll put an extra $1.07 or whatever in DB's pocks...
