I'm sorry you weren't as taken with the new remasters as I have been. While I agree the ceilng has been raised a bit revealing a few more highs, overall I think the sound stage has been broadened across the board. The highs are definitely crisper, the mids have a rounder feeling to them and the low end has a bit more punch and is a tad more encompassing.
Incidentally- how did you rate a poster and not one but two PG t-shirts? I'm exceedingly jealous...
