I know many people have been concerned with the situation surrounding Lost Highway promoting the Baerwald & NFU shows and I wanted to share this with you. My phone rang today at my office and strange as this may seem on the other end was a gentleman from Lost Highway. We had a brief discussion and I asked about David & the NFU and promoting their shows. He told me that there was some sort of issue with the new album cover at this point which is why there are no posters yet. He also informed me that at this point they are still gearing up for the release of the new record in July when they will give things a full promotional push. They are currently working hard to promote the new record from Tift Merritt that just came out and unfortunately they are short staffed in the promotion department. I sort of assumed from the conversation that with regards to running the street team stuff it's sort of a one man gang. This would explain why some of you who may have joined have not yet recieved a response. Here's the good news though, I was t assured they would be fully behind David and the NFU when the record is released. This tour is only the first stage of David getting out there on the road to support the new record...so yeah there will be more shows. Also when I informed him that I'd be attending the NFU gig in Boston he said he'd try and rush some promotional materials out to me in time for tommorrows show. So for those attending at the Attic tommorrow I may have something (Baerwald & The NFU postcards maybe) for the show tommorrow night. I'll inquire at the Attic tommorrow if management there would mind me leaving them around the bar and the room if they arrive in time. So yes, Lost Highway is working to get the word out about David and the NFU, they're just a little short staffed. Looking forward to tommorrow night.
