For those attending in Boston, or Newton to be more precise, here's some info I picked up today. Talked to a gentleman from the Attic who is running the show and the word from him is this Baerwald ticket has turned into quite a hot commodity. I guess quite a few tickets will be held back for "industry people" due to the large number of "industry people" that wish to attend this rather rare performance of Mr. Baerwald here in Boston. So this cuts down considerably I guess on the number of tickets that will be made available to the general public. As stated by the ZenMan the Attic is a rather intimate room. For the most part this will be like seeing David & crew in your living room. The room holds a supposed max of 150, if they leave some tables in that cuts capacity down to 110. The word is they are gonna yank all the tables out and try and squeeze 180 into the room on the night Mr. Baerwald will be turning up. So anyone who believes they have reserved a table for this show will be somewhat disappointed I think. The original plan I guess was to leave some tables in the room but it would seem the supply of tickets will not meet the demand so the tables will be removed as far as I'm told. It will be an SRO show except for the seats at the bar. I guess this is going to be one of the biggest shows that the Attic has staged. They are surprised at the response they are getting and are very excited to be hosting the event. I was also told that they plan on putting a stop to selling tickets over the phone at this point because of the whole supply & demand issue. So to get your tickets for the show you'll have to turn up in person. I was told the show will be a definate sell out. I think it's great news that David & the NFU are creating this much of a stir because, I'll be honest, I really did not expect it. I couldn't stop smiling as I was listening to all this. There is no Baerwald & The NFU stuff posted in the club at this point so I was a bit disappointed by that because Abra Moore is well represented with several posters hanging inside to mark the show. They are also excited about having Abra there as well. If you want to purchase your tickets by phone call soon 617-964-6684.
