Thank you for posting the information on the VeriChip. You mention that "there would have to be some sort of advanced version" of the VeriChip, and for all we know, they may have that very thing in some off the line R&D lab, not yet known by the public.
Current scientific R&D is said to be between ten and fifteen years beyond what is known and used by the public. I only can imagine what these people have up their sleeves, but to be perfectly blunt, if Digital Angel and the VeriChip are Applied Digital Systems first two products, and all that they entail, I am certain that I do not want to see any more of what they are capable of.
I am certain that their intentions are not what I would project if I had the chance to really make a difference and change the world, with a new technology that could really make this world a better place.
I just don't think that we should be running around spying on each other--- waiting for the fall guy to screw up and show that he is really human, and prone to making mistakes.
How about a CURE for POVERTY?!?!?
THAT would really change things in a positive light, and give the little guy a chance for one time in this life.
