Perhaps, more established musicians who have connections with the big wheels in the music industry will hear my little songs and think, "Ye Gods! For a simple little band from Lawrence, they're pretty cool!" and a big ol' record contract will come from it and I'll make lots and lots of money and tour all over the US and Europe and I can quit my day job.
