When thinking of a good "public" single, I want the best song to get DB the most exposure as possible. It makes me ill to hear the garbage most call talent on the radio today, but the goal is to make DB's music known to all.
I feel his best stuff is beyond the taste of the general public ("Born to Love You" "Postman" "Secret Silken World") so maybe the best bet will be "Nothing's Going to Get Me Down" and "Bozo".
But again, if all people had good taste (like all DB fans do) then good taste would be mediocre.
