Well....not really.  But I just read about an upcoming soundtrack release to go with the new movie from Sean Penn titled "I Am Sam".  The soundtrack is made up entirely of Beatles covers.  Here is the tracklisting -

Sarah McLachlan - "Blackbird"
Aimee Mann and Michael Penn - "Two of Us"
The Wallflowers - "I'm Looking Through You"
Rufus Wainwright - "Across the Universe"
Ben Harper - "Strawberry Fields Forever"
Eddie Vedder - "You've Got to Hide Your Love Away"
The Black Crowes - "Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds"
Ben Folds - "Golden Slumbers"
Paul Westerberg - "Nowhere Man"
Nick Cave - "Let It Be"
Stereophonics - "Don't Let Me Down"
Heather Nova - "We Can Work It Out"
The Vines - "I'm Only Sleeping"
Howie Day - "Help!"
Grandaddy - "Revolution"
Chocolate Genius - "Julia"

As we're all aware of the Penn/Baerwald connection - I wonder why DB isn't included in this collection.

For some reason, "Happiness Is A Warm Gun" popped into my head.  I can just hear DB singing "Mother Superior jump the gun".  I don't know - maybe that track's too slow.

Any other ideas?  David - are there any Beatles songs you can see yourself covering?
