Icon Hate to say it, but the kitchen table is not what it once was....

So much of what we older Americans once had is now gone - the kitchen table, the daily paper, the daily newscast, the front porch, and on and on.

Things sadly are not only not what they once used to be, but have lost so much of their power and influence.

My own nuclear family has been quite lucky, though, when it comes to the kitchen table. A couple of years ago an uncle asked if we were still able to have family dinners and the like, and we have, and mostly up until this day, but I have learned such things truly are wonderful to have if a family can have them, but today's culture does not promote such things as it once did.

I mean, just look at how many vendors there are for home delivery and how most of these home deliveries tend to end up in front of a screen rather in front of real human faces?
