Cool story. I had a somewhat similar experience - replace Sheryl Crow with Jill Sobule and Bosnia with the Lilith Fair in Columbia Maryland. Jill had a meet and greet table where she was signing things. I had her sign a CD and asked her about her co-writing Supermodel with David. She paused for a second and then said she hadn't met him and did the song over the phone. So I didn't ask her anything else DB related.
