Well, I finally got my copy of the videos; great presentation; thanks, Dan. I suppose my first reaction was, "Oh M'God", great film work...who did the directing etc..
Anyways, "Born for Love"; such a beautiful melody. I had such a different image than executed carcasses being schlepped across a beach (only the first guy got a horse, the rest were dragged), after being disposed of by a firing squad of Neanderthal South American death squad types. All while David is playing. Really very touching...David.
I've heard of poignant, but...OUCH!
Anyhow, while riding my bike here in Western Maryland, in an American pastoral so close to the killing grounds of so many young men during the Civil War..I saw the beauty of the farmlands, the cows, goats, and birds. That's when "All Gods creatures Great and Small", went through my head over and over, and I had my own video of sorts.
Anyone else out there with any thoughts on this?
