Here, I am composing what I hoped to be an amusing little post to get people interested in Mr. Henry's music and I missed the fact that he was just in town on Friday night. Damn, does this guy ever get promoted anywhere for anything? I picked up the newspaper and sure enough there's a review of David Byrne's show and it mentions that Joe was the opening act. I had heard all about Byrne's show on the radio and not once had anyone mentioned Joe Henry was opening up for him. I've never been a big fan of David Byrne's voice, always found his music interesting though, and had no plans to go but I would have had I known Joe was the opener. Oh well, I'd just like to pass along that info so if see Mr. Byrne is coming to your town, now you'll know Joe's going to be the opener so get there early if you're going to attend. By the way, David Byrne's new single "Like Humans Do" is getting quite a bit of airplay out this way and it's not bad. Actually it has quite a summery feel to it.
