Rock is not dead, though if your only exposure to it is through the radio it would be easy to make that assessment. Go to a Thursday night show at a smokey and scuzzy bar and you are bound to hear some fresh and hardworking bands that will knock your socks off. I only hope that is the case across the US, or am I just fortunate enough to live in a music mecca in amongst so many cow pastures?
