the same issue offers up, "Army of God", by Stephanie McCrummen. Her introduction:  "Americans Christians are embracing a Charismatic Movement known as the New Apostolic Reformation, which seeks to destroy the secular state. Now their war begins." 

I know that for DB, and many of us, these movements are especially alarming. Generally, I'm interested in why individuals and groups adopt their beliefs and what are the consequences. This especially sinister movement  stands in opposition to pretty much everything that I value. They are motivated, organized, wealthy, and a week away from being in a position to further their goals. When you are absolutely convinced that the creator of the universe has a mission for you, there's nothing that will stop you. This is the chance, at last, to rise above your insignificance and your mediocrity!
