Here's what their website says about the name: While adoring fans refer to the group as "The Mouth," they take their full name from the title of an early theatrical piece by Sam Shepard and Patti Smith. In the play, one character tries to convince another that he could be the next messiah. He says, "You gotta grab all the little broken-up, busted pieces of people's frustration... you gotta give it back to them bigger than life... you gotta be a rock'n'roll Jesus with a Cowboy Mouth."
They do all original work, with the exception of tracks from the member's former bands. Awesome and energetic stage show.
