Firstly, I'd like to say I think it's wonderful to be able to talk with someone that's played a part in my musical pleasure over the years. After having found this board, I have rediscovered what I enjoyed about Boomtown, and have purchased Bedtime Stories (a new treasure...). I am still looking to get Triage and am waiting to hear about the availability of AFM, and whether they get to Australia or not (I expect you'll hear from Nigel King soon...). Because of the board, I've been corresponding with Nigel and have found we have very similar tastes in music, as do many of the other writers, judging by their recent postings. This has been a revelation to me, since I live in a fairly isolated part of Western Australia, without a legitimate FM station, and hence, don't get to hear anything new or interesting. I will follow up some of the suggested listening from the board - I discovered Kevin Gilbert this way...
Anyway, thanks again for giving me and others the opportunity to communicate with you - I hope you had a good holiday - What do you do to relax? I guess it's not listening to music, like it is for me?!
Take care, and best regards,
Kathryn Shapland.
