Well, I guess since everyone else is doing it.....
My name is Dan Heatherly. I'm really the only one who calls me Dano. I'm 26 years old, single, and living alone with a cat named Phoebe. Phoebe's sister Lila just happens to be owned by my girlfriend of 5 years, Mindy. We haven't decided yet when we'll let the cats share an address.
I graduated from college with a biology degree a couple of years ago with the desire to become a doctor. My ultimate goal is to work as a family doctor in rural West Virginia. If only it were that easy. I've been applying to med schools (actually only one) for the past two years unsuccessfully. It's taken a toll on my self esteem. My plan now is to take some graduate classes and keep trying at med school. I'm taking suggestions as well.....
As far as musical tastes go, my first love was the Beatles. My first Beatles' was the White Album. Other favorites - Blues Traveler, Ani Difranco, Shannon Worrell, Dave Matthews, Dan Bern, Hall and Oates, Steely Dan, Prince, Timbuk 3 (and Pat MacDonald solo), 70's funk, and all the trash from the 80's.
I love biking - more specifically, road biking. I also enjoy hiking and camping whenever I get the chance. I'm also a pretty good cook....thanks to my mom. I've been playing on computers since I was 12 or so and I've had the same email address for the last 6 years. The DB site is the only web page I maintain.
