Hey, David--

While we're talking about Secret Silken World (great question, Gordon!), can I ask a really stupid one. Does the narrator actually have sex with the prostitute in the car? It seemed to me that the "singer" felt nauseated at the thought of going through with it after seeing the uncomfortable behavior of the woman, and doesn't do it... but my friend says the sick feelings were after the fact.

Is it so obvious and I'm missing it?

I was interested to have read somewhere that this song was composed at the time of Bedtime Stories but that people advised you not to put it on the album. It certainly seems to fit much better on Triage. Did the song change much between the two albums?

Yours too,
Melanie

ps- My mom thinks "Such a draaaag... Let's get something to eat" is one of the funniest things, and quotes it all the time. It'd be funnier if you knew her. :^)
