Well, being rather young and entirely unacquainted with both the sound tech and restaurant business worlds, you should probably take my opinion with a heap of salt, but here goes anyway. You ask if this is straying too far from his original goals...I would say that yes, ownership of an Arby's is pretty much completely separate from his previous goals, but if he feels that owning an Arby's would be a fulfilling thing to do, then there's nothing wrong with abandoning those previous goals (or at least putting them on the back burner for a while). If the Arby's is just a way to make money and he doesn't really care about it, then I'd say that he should try some more in the music biz. It all depends on his motivations.
