Like most of you I have a wide range of musical favorites and influences. I seem to enjoy the work of songwriter-musicians,artists like Elvis Costello,Graham Parker,Steve Earle,Michael Penn, Tim and Neil Finn, are some people whos music I have constantly in my CD player. Of course there are the staples Beatles,Dylan,The Band,Stevie Ray Vaughan,REM,Pet Sounds era Beach Boys (check out the chorus from "Secret Silken World" for Brian Wilsons' influence on D.B.)as well as countless others. I've noticed several people mention a lot of virtuoso guitarists, while I appreciate their immense talents there is a guitarist who I feel is fiercely underrated and not mentioned enough, Lindsey Buckingham. His complex fingerstyle playing, both electric and accoustic are amazing. A spinal cord injury 2.5 yrs. ago left me quadriplegic at the ripe old age of 25 and unable play guitar anymore.A situation I still haven't really come to terms with yet.But without hand function I've turned my attention to listening to music with more intensity and appreciation than ever before. To this day listening to Davids' music from Boomtown to the eagerly awaited A Fine Mess brings me much joy and emotion,as does knowing so many others appreciate his music as much as I do.

Thanks
Kyle
