Well, like many others, I am trying to maintain my sanity in this fucking nightmare we now live in (I'm working on my own Magnum Opus on what happened and maybe might finish it if I don't go insane first).
Anyway, if one is seeking some sort of respite from this shitshow, give this documentary a try. It has been one of the most entertaining and fascinating documentaries I have seen in some time. It is about Scotty Bowers, an upscale pimp who provided means of pleasure to those in Hollywood during the 40s, 50s, and 60s, and kind of beyond, too.
Bowers was an amazing human being and died in 2020 at 96. The documentary features him at the ripe age of 93! Some details are shocking (especially the path Bowers was on as a very young teen, but his comments about those days are surprising - never does he portray himself as a victim, though some disagree).
I don't want to type much more about his history because it is best to let it become known while watching the documentary.
Lastly, Bowers has some very interesting stories (he wrote a book Full Service) many may disbelieve, however, no one has ever discounted his tales and those interviewed all say the same thing: Bowers is not a braggart or liar and his stories are factual.
It is on Tubi for free and it looks like it is streaming on YouTube, too.
Seriously, this is such a treat (BTW, there are old images of sexual depiction and plenty of course talk).
