Recently, I was thinking of how to purchase music for a relative, and when asking a third party how the relative listened to music, the person said he had no CD player or anything that played physical media, so it struck me how the hell can you ever do things like buying a person a CD or cassette or LP for a gift when the person mainly listens to music on some sort of digital device?
I mean, I guess you could go on Amazon and buy them a "digital" album, but who in the hell would want something like that as a gift instead of some sort of physical media?
An unintended consequence I guess.
