Newsom has been out there quite a lot in the past year. I like him. I can't imagine Trump debating him because there would be nothing fair about it. Newsom has a good command of the facts and thinks on his feet in ways Biden may have in years past but clearly not today. 

Joe has been a fantastic president. His main fault has been in believing that nobody else can defeat Trump when there are a number of people who could do that, especially with the baggage Trump is loaded down with.

Biden sounds forceful in his protestations that he's going nowhere. Perhaps that was theater ahead of the NATO summit.
