Years ago, a woman I admire made a posting on FB that completely changed my life and I'm not shitting you. 

What I am about to share will give you more time to do the things you want to, improve your life, and your body processes, and also, greatly reduce the risk of colon cancer.  And this is all true and not an opinion.

So, here it is: when you use the stool, do you use a proper stool? Oh, not the toilet you use, but a footstool?

If not, get one and try it, and believe me, you will be surprised.  Most people smirk at this, but studies have found, that people who use stools or squat have much lower rates of colon cancer than those that only use a toilet.  When I was in the Middle East during the early 90s, this is what we encountered - a hole in the bathroom floor with raised ribs alongside it to prevent slippage (of course, one soldier thinking he was exceptionally smart cut a hole in an aluminum chair but after his one use, everyone avoided it and adapted to using the hole - which by the way, had a handy hand washing hose right next to it, which was also a poor man's bidet - did I leave out no TP?  It clogged the way their sewers were built during those days).

Studies have also shown using a footstool quickens the voiding and actually makes for a more thorough voiding of human waste. 

So, unless you like reading Moby Dick on the can, give a stool a try - a proper stool, that is.

 

PS...one reason I am so active today is that I have some sort of bug I can't get rid of......
