I think of the kids who have grown up since Trump arrived on the political scene, and the vulgarity, endless lies, overt bigotry, and the gleeful appeals to violence which he vomits up. For these young listeners, this is normal discourse, and going forward, what warped effect will this have on them as they age? Sadly, I have to think that many will reflexively join the ranks of the aggressively stupid flying monkey types who hang on Trump's every word. Sadly, there's no way these young minds will snap back and embrace the norms of 2012 or any earlier year.
