So far, in all of the political reporting I follow, I've only seen where ONE writer has mentioned why Haley is most likely staying in the race - because what if something other than the primaries takes out Trump between now and the Repub Convention? Imagine the chaos if she dropped out and something like that happened.
I think the MAGA push for Haley to drop out is also related to this - that MAGA wants her out because they see her as not 100 percent MAGA and if something like this does happen, they want her out so they can push through their own MAGA Mini-me if Trump is pushed out for some reason.
I guess in other ways, Dems might want her out, too, because she appears to be a stronger Biden opponent than Trump, and for the Dems, the more MAGA, the better.
I think she also sees the increasingly crazy shit MAGA is pushing and how much crazy shit Trump is saying and believes there is still opportunity for her.
Still, though, is it not such a horrible thing that just a few very early primaries even matter anymore and that in these early primaries, more often than not, the voters all tend to trend toward the extremes of party politics?
And as ole Timbuk 3 sing, the presidential election is a planned distraction (and especially for the primaries).
