Yes, I think that his supporters, the MAGA crowd, he was right about, he could shoot someone on Fifth Avenue and he would not lose one of them. I just don't think there are enough of those freaks for him to march him into office.
We've got a horrible number of Nazi wannabes here, no doubt. They don't really give a shit about anything he does. That in itself is traumatizing to people. That they see their fellow Americans accepting this garbage., cheering it. That is painful. I think your father had a point.
The echoes are there, it is mind blowing it is happening here, I am basically counting on the idea that we vastly outnumber the cowboy hat wearing, bible thumping, deep state conspiracy wackos.
Maybe I am naive because I am in Massachusetts and not in Ohio or Texas or Georgia.
