get one out of bed and to the polls... so I'm predicting a Trump victory. And even if Haley managed to squeak by, to what end? We've long know that it's going to be rematch of 2020. And why should a state with just over one million residents, who are overwhelmingly white, who aren't representative of the nation, have such disproportionate influence on something so consequential? Why should little, largely irrelevant and typically unnoticed New Hampshire be able to grant momentum to some candidates while vanquishing others? Sure, the pols and their entourages and the media fill up the hotels, and restaurants, but WTF? I'm certain the politicians would be grateful to no longer have to be judged for their "authenticity" by the diner patrons, those lumberjack-clad skinflints named Earl, LeRoy, and their wives Doris and Ruthie. The Dems wisely deflated New Hampshire's ego and prominence and I can only hope the GOP also see the wisdom of it. Were this to happen, we would no longer have to hear about the handful of hicks in Dixville Notch who cast their midnight votes in front of national media.  Having just trashed the state, I should add that there's a lot of natural beauty here with the White Mountains, the many lakes, though only a minuscule amount of coastline (16 miles), and yes, we do have the charm of Portsmouth ... and that Ivy League member, Dartmouth College. Visit Vermont instead!  Peter T.
