Such a wonderful post. So open and honest, too.
Kevin, I think a good deal of what you mention is not unusual in sincere people who sincerely look into themselves to find their answers and I think it takes a helluva person to admit to what you have in your reply.
And believe me, I am not gloating at your revisions at all and don't see it as a "win," but instead as the sincere journey of a sincere person seeking understanding and answers.
I am 59 and when I suggest to people that my thinking has changed so much in the last five years they end up chuckling, but it is true.
Maybe "changed" is not the best word and instead points of view may be a better way to describe it.
Your venture into being untethered is just how I feel when it comes to so many things in life - family, life, death, the future, and so on.
Then, you get hit with the heavy realization that your time here truly is very limited and getting very short and could be done in the next second - that has really been influencing my thought patterns lately - that this ride is rounding that last curve.
So, thank you for that wonderful post and more importantly, thank you for sticking around in an environment for all these years with a different point of view that came under fire so often (ps...and a personal thank you for that insight into edibles - those damn things have been such a relief for me and mainly because of you).
Best wishes to you and all of your loved ones.
