Julia and I saw it when it in a cinema, and we both loved it. Giamatti is just a gift for today's filmmakers. How you could be making films now and not want to put him in your picture is beyond me. Ms. Randolph is probably a lock for best supporting actress. Great film, heavily Hal Ashby influenced, I was reminded of one of my favorite Ashby films, The Last Detail, different kind of characters, but same set-up where you throw three different kinds of people together and see how they interact and become fond of each other.
