We need more plain speaking politicians. Remember another Texan from several decades ago, Jim Hightower? A folksy, straight shooter who was incredibly relatable, not the least bit condescending, and he was pretty damn funny at times. Jim was most certainly not a graduate of the culturally tone deaf,  John Kerry School of Public Speaking. Not a whit of elitism either!
