well. i didn't even know about sheryl crow or moulin rouge connections, and i've heard both of
those things quite a bit.as for BREE SHARP, i saw her play lilith fair in denver in august 99, right around the time she had
a semi-hit with the song "david duchovny."
i quite like that debut album of hers, A CHEAP AND EVIL GIRL. catchy, poppy, somewhat edgy, sometimes
humorous. her 2nd album, MORE B.S., came out in august.
ten songs. so far i prefer the first, but the new
one is growing on me. she wrote all the lyrics
except her cover of "the boys of summer."baerwald and ricketts contributed to the song
"the ballad of grim and lily." dylan fan that i am,
i'm a sucker for lilies. the song is okay.
so far i am intrigued most by just the fact that the
davids are in there somewhere. and the liner notes,
which have this to say about the song:
"a great week on venice beach, a bottle of scotch,
a rusty shotgun and a haunting song..."
