I'm thinking many things, like embracing religion, and other forms of tribalism, and therapy sessions, anti-anxiety meds, the Hallmark Channel, romance novels, scrapbooking... especially in a media landscape on steroids, where information hits us from all directions, and a sense for reality is either happily avoided or difficult to get a handle on. It turns out that through "text mining", we can gauge the level of global uncertainty that there is bubbling up and sometimes boiling over. I knew that text mining was routinely done at Google and other Big Tech companies, and in the wake of Brexit, and as a means to estimate where Covid was appearing but wow. And I can only imagine in what other dark corners this is being exploited!
