I think the further we move away from big events of destruction and horror like ww2 and the fading out of the generations that were impacted by it well the easier it is for people to embrace fascist messianic characters like we’re seeing now. It will take people experiencing the consequences of their lunacy to step back from extremes. Maybe watching what is going on now is a wake up call to some people.
it wouldn’t surprise me if we saw someone getting desperate enough to use a nuke before the end of the decade. Trump lobbing one at Iran would seem plausible. There will be a reset at some point.
