Never before has the president's chief of staff been given an immunity deal. He was the right hand man, the hub of information flowing in and out of the White House, he knows all the details of Trump's plans and criminal activity. It's the guy everybody has been waiting to flip and pretty much predicting would flip. I think the theory was the main reason he was trying to get the charges in Georgia moved to a federal court was because his lawyers had been working toward making an immunity deal with Jack Smith's team.
As I understand it, when you cooperate in one case, that cooperation is shared in all cases. So, he will be providing cooperation in Georgia as well I would say.
Honestly, to my eyes, Trump looks completely screwed and pretty certain he knows it.
