When my mother told me of the interest in this CD idea on Dan's page, I rather blithely made the statement; "why yes, of course there's all this unreleased material, of course those interested should be able to have it"... What I failed to remember was my own... insecurity and desire that things be as nice as they could be. So the simple matter of copying some music onto a CD and sending it off into the world became a little more fraught... Hence its current form: About 28 songs, recorded in high style, albeit rather informally, with excellent musicians in a very relaxed atmmosphere, in a world-class studio, over a period of probably three years.

Jeff Wells is putting together a beautiful package, which will consist of two CDs in a bound book with lyrics, comments, and Jeff's lovely art everywhere. My aide and colleague Jesse Fishman and I are going as fast as we can on the audio mastering and sequencing, and Jeff and Westland Graphics are putting the book and art stuff together. I wont cash any check until we finish everything. This run will consist of 500 hand-numbered CD books. It's my gift to all of you, in thanks for getting me to put all this stuff together for once.

I'm confident its all within a month; packaging, mailing, etc...PLease be patient, please.
