Icon Three statements to consider now that Trump is a defendant...

So, lots of things get said and they may fly by us rather quickly or without notice but they have much more meaning than people think. During this insanity with Trump, certain things have been said that, I think, tell us a lot about what is going on. Here are three that I think deserve serious consideration and they were not huge but they pulled back the curtain:

1. Bill Barr saying that Trump should never be allowed to testify because he has no self-control during this New York Stormy Daniels case. This was essentially Bill Barr's job when they brought him in to be AG at the end of the Trump administration. It was to "land the plane" and reduce/eliminate the chances of Trump ever saying anything under oath. He came to an agreement with Robert Mueller that his investigation would bring no charges. They were in agreement on that rule. The difference of opinion between the two men was that Barr meant that all of that would end there and leave nothing else to investigate, hence leaving no reason to ask Trump any further questions and prevent Trump from ever speaking under oath. Mueller obviously thought, we will bring no charges but we will expose what he did and let Congress (the people) decide what to do. Barr just wanted to shut Trump up because the guy was such a loose cannon. So, when Barr says that he does not believe Trump should ever testify, ever say anything under oath, it is not for the protection of Trump, it is because nobody knows what Trump may say. This is considered a major threat to all. Barr believes in the Nixon theory that if the president does it, it is not illegal, not just to protect the president, but to protect the world from being able to hear, under oath, things that a president knows and had access to. I do not believe any president until Trump would have spilled those kind of things but Donald will because he does not care about protecting anybody but himself. Trump also is not an intelligent nor thoughtful man, so he should never have been put in a position to have information he could use against the country and the world. Barr is acutely aware of this.

2. Trump saying that Richard Nixon was paid $18 million by the government for the documents he took from the White House when discussing his stolen top secret documents scandal. This was an eyeopener in terms of what is going on in his head and who is in it. So, Trump did not come up with this and did not know anything about this. Roger Stone, who worked for Nixon (and weirdly has Nixon's face tattooed on his back) put this crap in Donald's head. Now, when did Stone tell him this? Did he tell Trump, pack up all the top secret documents you can and take them with you before Trump left the White House? Did Trump take the documents because he thought he could get more than the $18 million Nixon got? Who is Trump speaking to when he says Nixon got $18 million? That appears to be a threat/demand he is making at the government to pay him for what he stole. Now, the truth is neither Nixon nor his family got that money but I am certain Stone gave that to Trump to use as a talking point and potentially to encourage him to steal all the top secret information he could get his hand on before he left. Trump is said to have shown the top secret documents he stole to several people, donors, and I would bet, he showed them to Stone...who is also not loyal to this country. When Trump made this comment, I thought, "Holy shit was that a weird thing to say!" and man, it stood out. It was a threat that he is holding this country for ransom and that he should be paid the ransom money. Roger Stone was at Trump's post arraignment speech at Mar-a-Lago. Bad news to have this guy so inside of Trump's head.

3. Sean Hannity attempting to walk Trump into saying he would never pull out the stolen documents to go through them. Of course, Trump, not being very bright insisted he absolutely would do that at which point Hannity rapidly tried to change the subject but Trump went on an entire rant about how he would go through the stolen documents. Hannity was trying to get Trump to say he wouldn't because it has come out that special counsel has been given evidence that he did. Again, this goes to both how stupid Trump is, how you never know what may come out of his mouth next, and why the number one thing Republicans want is for him to shut the hell up.
