I actually don't agree with DeSantis' COVID record being quite as grim as you say.  Certainly nowhere near as bad as what Cuomo allowed.  I do think that rather than arguing, if we were ever to sit to coffee, there'd be a nuanced conversation about the really difficult ground between flat-out health protection and business protections.  A very difficult topic, but probably one worth considering.  

I actually knew DeSantis from school although he was a bit behind me but through friends.  That somewhat "jockish" part of his personality is there, but he really isn't a bad human being.  He has some empathy.  He does not have the ego and narcissism of Trump.  That said . . . would I vote for him?  Over Trump, absolutely.  Over Biden?  Yes.  Over Harris . . . Hell yes - I have enormous reservations about her judgment.  I do realize this runs a little counter to what some of you might feel, and that's OK.  If we were ever in a long conversation, I would listen closely to what you you have to say about it and really try to consider it.  So please, don't prejudice against me too much based on what was written a little higher.  I really do try to make an effort to consider all sides as best I possibly can.
