Hendrix, Duane Allman, Stevie Ray - Never saw Hendrix, snuck into Musicarnival to see the Allmans & Kate Taylor when I was a sophmore in HS, and SRV never ceased to amaze.
To jump on Kevin's track, I inherited a bunch of 40's - 50's swing & pop lp's which I've been going through - Dorsey w/ Sinatra was amazing - His voice was so smooth, I could see why that generation went for him so much. Della Reese, Billy Holiday & Patsy Cline just amaze me - I remember watching them on Sullivan when I was a kid and could never figure out what my parents were so enamored with (hell, I was in single digits, agewise) but time & age will broaden your horizons - I could picture my parents stealing my Lyle Lovett and KD Lang albums today.
