The other night I watched the 1946 film noir Appointment With Crime and was amazed at the quality and content of this gem.

It is about an amoral smash-and-grab thief that sets out to get revenge on his partners for his belief he was double-crossed by them. 

The dialog was witty, biting, and humorous at times.   There is a wonderful exchange between one henchman hiring another for a killing for hire done in code that is stunning.

Also, the content of this flick for 1946 was ahead of its time and one of the movie posters even warns "Suitable Only For Adults."

It is even free on Youtube and with no commericals.
