Personally, I really like Kamala Harris, but Peter T is so right, and I hate to be this way but in the age of the importance of the visual media, when it comes to our politicians, the Dems have done a terrible job removing or dealing with her shortcomings as a public speaker (performer, really).

She is similar to Hillary Clinton in the way that when she speaks to you there is a feeling of she is talking down to and lecturing you. And she does have the most irritating voice to begin with (I know that the voice thing is superficial, but it is).

She also has that tinge of the air of believing she is the smartest person in the room, too - just like both HRC and Bill Clinton.

Frankly, I think she has risen to as high as she will and she will not win a Dem nomination in the future.

I'm keeping an eye on Gavin Newsom but what scares me about him is the fear of some hidden scandal in his background and specifically some sort of sexual picadillo.  And is it not something that of all the wildfire scandals to hit the Republican Party in the recent past, the one that exploded like an atom bomb was when the Republican boy wonder Cauthorn brought up orgies and cocaine - isn't it something how that frightened and concerned the Washington Repub crowd more so than an attack on the US Capitol.
