David and band played 2 shows on this date at the Steamboat in Austin, TX - this is the first. The late show was chosen for the Live @ Steamboat DVD. The band includes David Baerwald, Will Sexton, Bukka Allen, Darwin Smith, and JJ Johnson. David had stated at the time that these shows were acting as a warm-up for when the band hit the road in a couple of months for a small US tour. The set is similar to the late show but does include an excellent version of AIDS & Armageddon.
